Other development options

Located to the village of Ársskógssandur in Dalvíkurbyggð is a large greenfield area(107 ha), well suited for a clean industry with expanse options. Access to water, electricity and fiber optics makes this area an exciting future option for high-end data centers.

Peaceful village of Grenvík has two interesting areas to offer:
Close to Grenivík, by the national road sits Gljúfráreyrar with 14,4 ha available for a range of green industrial development options.
On the outskirts of Grenivík is a 4,4 ha industrial plot with good utility connections with the option to expanse.

In the municipality of Fjallabyggð two plots with good marine access are available for development. Next to the quay in the Port of Siglufjörður is a 0,5 ha industrial plot ready for development. The port is already the home of two innovative marine biotech companies Genis and Primex, making this an ideal location for developing marine based sustainable circular projects. The Port of Ólafsfjörður offers a 0,2 ha plot close to the main quay with multiple options in marine based projects.
